Super-spy Samantha Trudeau is on the run from the FBI. With law enforcement decidedly not on her side, she has no choice but to rely on sexy but otherwise ordinary civilian Mac Hunter to help her stay alive. It’s a bit of a challenge, since she can’t even convince him that she can read minds. Mac thinks Sam should seek refuge with her sisters, even though they can’t possible protect her from the armed thugs that Sam’s ex-boss keeps sending after her. Sam is a Wonder Woman who still needs help; Mac’s stubbornness becomes endearing in the light of his steadfast belief that family ties trump all troubles. The love scenes are tender even as the external pressures ratchet up. First-time readers will love the unusual treatment of a superpowered heroine, while fans of True Colors and True Vision will find this a very satisfying conclusion to the Trudeau saga. (Dec.)
