A follow-up to Foxworth's 1977 Boss Lady, this study takes into account the vast changes that have occurred in the workplace in the past decade. Now 56% of women are working and more than four million of them are bosses, according to the author's statistics. Some of those executives may need Foxworth's suggestions, but many will find them self-evident truths. Chances are the boss lady knows that some male colleagues accept her in a leadership role and some do not, that her aggressiveness should be kept low-key and that she shouldn't crack ethnic jokes if her boss is an ethnic. Foxworth's survey covers a multitude of topics, from whether pregnancy impairs a career, through gaining self-confidence, to coping with a boss lady who is a bitchindeed virtually everything that a woman is apt to encounter on her way up the ladder.
