Lyin', Cheatin' and a Hot Lollipop

This new animated series that imparts Bible lessons via snappy, humorous stories starring a cast of likable prairie dogs in the Wild West will surely invite comparisons to the phenomenally popular VeggieTales series from Big Idea (see below). The third Little Dogs volume, this title features two episodes. In ""A Flip, a Curl, a Wave and a Twirl,"" Miss Kittey, the new hairdresser in town, coifs the residents of Prairie Town so well that they all want to stay indoors and admire themselves. Dismayed that she created such a problem, Miss Kittey consults Old Bill Juan Coyote (an Obi-Wan Kenobi-like adviser). Old Bill helps everyone see the important lesson: ""If you spend all your time worrying about how you look, you'll miss out on all the fun,"" a summary of Corinthians 2:3-4. A second story, ""For the Love of Sport,"" has young Sport discovering that, as in 1 Corinthians 13, ""Love is never selfish."" Toe-tapping country music, swiftly paced storytelling and lots of funny bits make this an enjoyable family outing with a gentle moral message at its heart.
