J. Countryman had an enormous hit last year with Max Lucado's devotional Grace for the Moment, which has sold half a million copies and is still going strong. The publisher follows the same gift-book format with Charles Swindoll's Wisdom for the Way: Wise Words for Busy People, using brief snippets from Swindoll's previously published works for a year's worth of daily meditations. Books just don't get much lovelier than this; with its glossy pages, nature-oriented color photographs and embossed cover, Swindoll's devotional is a feast for the eyes as well as the spirit. ( May)
