THE OLD SHEPHERD'S TALE

On Christmas Eve, a shepherd and his beasts share their stable and, in turn, witness the birth of Jesus. The shepherd always knew that his ox, donkey and cow were gentle, helpful creatures to be respected. But it wasn't until that miraculous night that the shepherd could hear the animals speak, and understand their wisdom. Forever changed, he encourages kindness to all creatures until his dying day. Gorgeous oil paintings perfectly capture subtle variances of light and shadow. The humble-looking animals, thickly bearded shepherd and sleeping newborn babe all appear real enough to touch.
