His to Keep

Terri Austin. Sourcebooks Casablanca, $7.99 mass market (448p) ISBN 978-1-4022-9182-1

Austin’s latest uber-successful Las Vegas–based Brit (His Kind of Trouble) is so unlikable that he sucks the fun right out of Sin City. Originally from Manchester, U.K., Iain Chapman vowed to make it big in real estate development. However, in order to close his next deal, he needs to partner with developer Trevor Blake (the featured Brit from His Every Need), which is why he’s determined to seduce Trevor’s sister-in-law Brynn, a corporate-trainer-curriculum writer. Fairly introverted, Brynn knows she shouldn’t let her boss, her neighbor, and her sisters walk all over her, but she’s fairly happy with the status quo. At first, she’s offended by Trevor’s aggressive pursuit and rude treatment of others, yet he wins her over by delivering multiple orgasms (via light BSDM, her discovered preference). Though Brynn does develop a backbone, readers may find it hard to engage with the characters. Agent: Courtney Miller-Callihan, Sanford J. Greenburger Associates. (Mar.)
