As Cavin plots his escape from the thief and procurer who has commanded him from boyhood, he is forced to turn to Benjamin for aid in rescuing Cavin’s teen protégé, Sam. Despite occasional carelessness with the historical details, March neatly balances erotic moments with the budding friendship and romance between the proudly independent Cavin and the nervous but eager Benjamin in a charming and spicy novella that will leave readers impatient for more.
