Again and Again

Susan Johnson. Kensington Publishing Corporation, $15 (249pp) ISBN 978-1-57566-805-5

Nominally set in 1821, Susan Johnson's latest erotic historical romance dispenses with 19th-century formalities (not to mention language and mores). Aptly titled Again and Again, it tells the story of Lady Caroline Morrow, a blueblood fallen on hard times and forced to work as a governess. On the way to her new post, she runs into her childhood love, the rakish Simon Blair, who sets out to seduce her anew. Sex isn't enough, she tells him (in the parlor of a crowded inn), but it will be for fans of Johnson's heavy-breathing fiction. (May)
