A Call To Resurgence: Will Christianity Have a Funeral or a Future

Driscoll’s book urges various Christian factions to end their quarrels and unite around a common appreciation for God and Christ. Narrator Chamberlain reads the author’s broadside with a great deal of conviction. His narration is crisp, clear, and impassioned. And while his performance has verve, Chamberlain often sounds excessively nasal. Additionally, during more intense moments of the book, the narrator becomes overly aggressive. Some listeners will long for a more moderate performance and more vocal variety to temper Driscoll’s rhetorical fire. A Resurgence hardcover. (Nov.)
