Gr 1-Brash illustrations accompany a very brief text (less than a dozen sentences) as a wolf assembles his head for us nose, one eye, the other eye, etc. and tucks his napkin into his collar so that he can eat. The two-page illustrations in which he shows his teeth and growls will delight young listeners and readers with their faux-ferocity, after which the wolf dines on a carrot. Combining the slight mystery of the assemblage in progress with the ""fright"" of the teeth and the comedy of the vegetarian meal, Lobo is perfect for read-aloud. Coop Renner, Paul C.
