Dreamer's Heart

Louisville, Ky., has a serial bomber on the loose, and Detective Rhys is up to his ears in unstable sorts confessing to the crime. When the gorgeous Faith MacRae appears, claiming she dreamed about the bombings before they happened, Rhys thinks he's got another screwball on his hands. Still, his professional instinct compels him to put her through a lie-detector test which, to his amazement, she passes. Now, when Faith has another dream predicting a bombing, Rhys has little choice but to solicit her help. Although the sequence of events often challenges believability, Turner does a smart job of steering her plot through the potentially rocky devices of telepathy and psychokinesis. (Aug.)
