Actress Prepon (Orange Is the New Black) has teamed up with Troy, an integrative nutritionist and well-being coach, to produce this dietary powerhouse. After enduring numerous diets for health issues, Prepon fortuitously met Troy, whose practice, based on traditional Chinese Meridian Theory, enabled her to feel and look energized for the first time in years. The duo went on to create the Stash Plan to “unblock” the gallbladder and liver through food and movement. In this guide, they share personal stories before delving into their plan’s “pillars”—the “power of broth,” “real food,” and stretching—along with meal plans, recipes, and stretching exercises. The book is rife with lush, gorgeous photographs of the authors’ concoctions and easily comprehensible discussions of what they assert is the threat posed by toxins and GMOs. Their recipes (bone marrow broth, almond bread, and roasted vegetables) are as mouthwatering as the meal plans are practical; the authors promise that minimal weekly cooking can produce a bounty of nutritious and delicious meals.
