Passport to Murder: Bouchercon Anthology 2017

Each of the 22 often thought-provoking short stories in this rich and varied anthology relates to travel and possible or intended murder. Readers will vicariously visit such places as Puerto Vallarta, Rome, and Toronto, where the annual Bouchercon convention will be held this fall. Janet Hutchings takes readers on a trip to Vegas in “The Divide,” whose narrative shifts expectations with each new turn in the road; in “Jerusalem Syndrome,” Hillary Davidson shows how a visit to the Holy Land can alter a woman’s life in (perhaps) miraculous ways; and, in Gary Phillips’s “This Ain’t No Time for a Vacation,” a professional killer travels from Texas to the astral plane.
