French Lifestyle Book Draws Multiple Buyers
On behalf of French publisher Grasset, 2 Seas Literary sold A Paris by Jeanne Damas in several sales, including in a joint deal to Penguin Press (U.S.) and Viking UK. Deals have also been made in Korea and Spain. Grasset published the novel, which was written with Lauren Bastide, in October 2017. The fashion/ coffee-table book portrays 20 Parisian woman of various ages and backgrounds, using photos and biographical information. Damas created the clothing like Rouje.

Swedish Crime Novel Sells to Orion
Orion Publishing in the U.K. acquired world English rights to Annabelle by Lina Bengtsdotter from Bonnier Rights Sweden in a deal brokered by Regal Hoffmann & Associates. Published last year, the novel has been a bestseller in Sweden, and rights have sold in 14 territories. Orion will publish the title, about a detective investigating the case of a missing girl in the town where she grew up, in December 2018.

Spanish Thriller Moves to the U.S.
The Spanish thriller The Black Jersey by Jorge Zepeda, which recently sold to Polish house Sonia Draga, has been snapped up in another deal, this time to an American publisher. Random House's Caitlin McKenna who took world English rights to the murder mystery set during the Tour de France. Planeta will publish the novel, which has been in seven international deals to date, in Spain and Latin America in June. The Pontas Agency controls all rights, and is comparing the book to work by Alan Bradley and Louise Penny.

Re-Issued Italian Crime Novel Series Spur German Sale and Film Deal
The recently re-issued collection of novels by Giorgio Scerbanenco known as the Milano Quartet, originally published in Italy in the 1960s, sold to Folio Verlag in Germany with film rights optioned by Italian production company O'Groove/Tramp. The books follow a doctor-turned-detective as he investigates crimes. Folio plans to release the book later this year. Piergiorgio Nicolazzini Literary controls all rights to the title.
