New England Supplement - NEW dates
Regional Supplement: New England – NEW DATES – issue date: April 21; reservation deadline: April 7
New England publishers, rise and shine. This regional supplement focuses on the long history of publishing in New England, and the New England publishers who proudly carry on the tradition.
Boston and New England have long had a connection to books and reading, starting with the first American printing press in 1639 in Cambridge, Mass.; the first American newspaper in 1690, Boston’s Publick Occurrences Both Forreign and Domestick; and the first publicly supported free municipal library in the world, the Boston Public Library, founded in 1848.
In this new supplement, PW focuses on that spirit of innovation as it continues into the 21st Century with the growth of companies like Copyright Clearance Center; E Ink, the largest supplier of e-book display screens worldwide; and ReDigi, the first company to resell digital content.
The new supplement includes:
• Targeted editorial
• Patriot’s Day release
• BookExpo bonus distribution
• American Library Association bonus distribution
Here we’ll be looking forward to where book publishing and technology are heading and spotlight some of the country’s most innovative book wholesalers and retailers.
