Events Corner for February 2014
Marketing manager Bryan Kinney has his calendar for PW filled with events for the spring. You are welcome to join us wherever we are!
February is calm this year, with two Publishers Weekly events scheduled for late in the month. We hope you’ll join us—in person at the PW Discussion Series on February 26 or virtually at the Common Core webinar on February 27th. Here are the details:
• “Are Publishing Seasons Relevant?”
Discussion Series – Wednesday, February 26, 2014, 8:30 – 11 a.m. EST, Random House Café Auditorium, 1745 Broadway at 56th Street, 2nd floor, New York, NY. Coffee & Pastries: 8:30 – 9 a.m.. Panel Discussion: 9 – 11 a.m. Cost: $49.00
With seasonal lists that can stretch to 1,000 titles, more drop-in books to keep pace with events and faster turnaround times, publishers are constantly selling. Has the time come to revise the traditional publishing seasons? This discussion will examine the pros and cons of keeping—or changing—the seasons. Find out more
