Spanish-language publishing is a booming business, with more and more publishers taking advantage of this market segment, one that is important for religious publishers as well.
Here’s PW’s Spanish-language publishing overview for 2013, noting that more than three-quarters of Hispanics claim a religious affiliation, and of those, 62% are Catholic.
The popularity of the Guadalajara Book Fair, held in December, is another measure of the popularity of Spanish-language books. Attendance in 2013 was nearly 660,000; it’s the second-largest book fair after Frankfurt.
