The organizers of Self-Publishing Expo have announced that they will hold their fifth annual conference November 9 at the Penn Hotel in New York City. Atria president and publisher Judith Curr will give a keynote speech on how traditional trade houses view the rise of self-publishing. Also scheduled to speak is Kobo’s Mark Lefebvre, and speakers from Wattpad and IndieBrag are also set to appear on one of the dozens of panels set. Cofounder Karen Mender said new features include hands-on demonstrations designed to help authors put into practice what they have learned and an exhibit area featuring some of the latest technology and information available that will also put a spotlight on authors offering their books for sale.
