This month, Deborah Bradseth at Tugboat Design reimagines the cover of Little Guide to Unhip by Kate Rigby, who said she was thrilled with the new design and described Bradseth as "wonderful to work with."

Design Note #1: The original cover matched the book’s genre and tone, so we kept the same upbeat and fun tone for the new design.

Design Note #2: Everything on the original cover was just a little too small for readers to quickly comprehend, so in the new design we made the title and other elements larger.

Design Note #3: I angled the words in the title to make it more playful and chose a serif font instead of a decorative font to make the design less distracting.

Design Note #4: We used bright illustrations for the design because they instantly lighten the tone and are eye-catching.
