What better way to celebrate Halloween than spending the day with Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine? On Thursday, October 25, a few dozen New York City third graders flocked to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, housed on an aircraft carrier docked in the Hudson River on the west side of Manhattan. Stine kicked off the event by reading an original mystery; then, kids found their way through a 70-foot long Goosebumps-themed haunted corn maze, facing scary challenges and following clues, until they reached the finish – a pumpkin patch stocked with copies of Stine’s newest book, Goosebumps Most Wanted: Planet of the Lawn Gnomes. Here are some highlights from the day. Photos: The Michael Alan Group.
