To celebrate the release of Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All, the fifth book in the bestselling series, author Rachel Renée Russell, along with her daughters, Nikki (who illustrates the books) and Erin, spent last week traveling around Texas for Russell’s first major book tour. The trio made stops in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, attending the Tweens Read Festival in Houston, and visited a number of schools and bookstores for events and signings. They met hundreds of students and fans, with many getting “dorkified” by Nikki, who drew them as characters in the books.
