Catherine Onder will join Bloomsbury Children's Books as editorial director on September 3. Most recently she was a senior editor at Disney-Hyperion, where she edited, among other authors, Elizabeth Wein, Ally Carter, and Rachel Hawkins.

Jenny Choy will join Little, Brown Books for Young Readers on September 16 as senior manager, school and library marketing. She was previously manager, school and library marketing at Candlewick Press.

Jill Corcoran has left the Herman Agency to start up her own agency, the Jill Corcoran Literary Agency.

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has a promotion and a new hire in its publicity department. Anna McKean has been promoted to associate director of publicity for Aladdin, Pulse, Beach Lane, Paula Wiseman, and novelty and licensed publishing; she was previously publicity manager. Jillian Vandall has joined the division as associate publicist for SSBFYR, McElderry, and Atheneum; she had previously worked for CBS News and as a publicity assistant for S&S's Gallery Books.

Frances Gilbert has been promoted to associate publishing director at Random House, Golden Books, Doubleday. She was previously editorial director for Doubleday.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has a promotion and a new hire in the design group. Dave Caplan, creative director, has been promoted to v-p. And Greg Stadnyk has joined the company as associate art director; he was previously associate art director at Penguin Young Readers Group.

Stephanie Pitts has been promoted to assistant editor at Random House's Schwartz & Wade Books; she was previously editorial assistant.

Scholastic Trade has a number of new hires and promotions. Katrina Krantz has joined Klutz as director of digital marketing; she was previously marketing manager at StarMaker. Caite Panzer has been named director of rights and global publishing strategy; she was most recently brand and communications manager at Oxford University Press. Kelly Smith has been named senior editor for nonfiction; she was previously an editor at Sterling Publishing. Michael del Rosario has joined as a managing editor; he was managing editor at becker&mayer! Elizabeth Whiting has been promoted to director, mass market sales; she was formerly national account manager for Barnes & Noble. Karen Lo has been promoted to director, trade finance; she was previously senior business manager. Janelle DeLuise has been promoted to associate director, rights and co-editions; she was previously senior manager. Dan Moser has been promoted to manager, special sales; he was previously associate manager. Walter Olalekan has been promoted to business manager, trade finance; he was previously senior financial analyst. Candace Greene has been promoted to assistant marketing manager; she was previously marketing coordinator. Katie Carella has been promoted to senior editor; she was previously editor. Emma Brockway has been promoted to associate publicist; she was formerly publicity coordinator.

Katie Halata joins the company as school and library marketing manager; she was formerly sales and marketing manager at Egmont USA. Stephanie McKinley has been named digital marketing assistant; previously she worked for the Young Adult Review Network.

The Walker Books Group has one promotion and one new hire. Susan Batcheller has been promoted to group commercial operations director. She also retains her role as v-p of marketing services and sales operations at Candlewick. David McMillan joins the company as group export product and sales manager, based in London. He has been at Templar in the U.K. for 18 years, most recently as senior U.S. sales manager.
