Andrew Smith has been promoted to svp, deputy publisher, executive director of new business development at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. In his new role, he will focus on growing the licensed publishing program, expanding the digital program, developing proprietary projects, exploring corporate acquisitions and partnerships, and maximizing international joint-publishing opportunities.

Ellen Cormier has been promoted to digital marketing associate at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group; she was previously marketing assistant.

Random House Children's Books has two promotions. Lauren Donovan has been promoted to senior publicist, social media specialist; she was previously publicist, social media specialist. Nicole Banholzer has been promoted to associate publicist; she was previously publicity assistant.

Greg Ferguson has joined Full Fathom Five as editorial director. He was formerly senior editor at Egmont USA where he edited Ilsa J. Bick, Bree Despain, and Lex Thomas, among others.

Lizzy Mason will join Bloomsbury Children's Books as associate publicity director on September 23. Most recently she was publicity manager for Disney-Hyperion, and before that worked at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group.

Mary Van Akin has joined the Macmillan Children's Publishing Group as publicist; she was formerly associate publicist at Random House Children's Books.

Hector Martinez will join Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as children's national account manager on September 9; he was previously purchasing account rep at Follett Educational Services.
