The American Booksellers Association announced that longtime Barnes & Noble bookseller Matthew Zoni has been named manager of its ABC Children’s Group. In his new position he will oversee children’s educational programming at Winter Institute, BookExpo America, and the spring Children’s Specialty Institute. Zoni will also coordinate the Author Tea and Speed Dating events at BEA in conjunction with the Children’s Book Council and produce the annual ABC Best Books for Children Catalog, among other projects.
For the past 11 and a half years, Zoni served as manager of event marketing and business development at Barnes & Noble. Prior to that he was coordinator for corporate communications. He received a bachelors degree in communications from Ithaca College.
