Annie Berger is joining HarperCollins Children's Books as associate editor, working with Rosemary Brosnan. She was previously editorial assistant at Simon & Schuster's Aladdin imprint. Abigail Tyson has been hired as editorial assistant, also working with Brosnan; she was previously assistant publicist in HarperCollins's adult publicity department.

Kids Can Press has several announcements. Naseem Hrab, has been promoted to marketing director; she was formerly institutional marketing manager. Nelvana Enterprise's Carly Slack will now handle special sales and licensing at Kids Can Press as senior manager, licensing and retail development. Katie Scott has joined the company as associate editor, and Olga Kidisevic has joined as publishing assistant.

Namrata Tripathi is joining Dial Books for Young Readers as editorial director. She was previously executive editor at Atheneum Books for Young Readers, where she worked with authors John Corey Whaley, James Howe, Lita Judge, and Judith Viorst, among others.

Sooji Kim has been promoted to assistant marketing manager at Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing. She was formerly digital marketing coordinator.

Hayley Wagreich has joined Alloy Entertainment as an associate editor. She was previously assistant editor at Paper Lantern Lit, and an editorial assistant at Disney-Hyperion.

Kamilla Benko is joining Paper Lantern Lit as assistant editor on January 27. She was an editorial assistant at HarperCollins Children's Books.

Hannah Moushabeck of the Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley, Mass., has been named the new co-chair of NECBA (New England Children's Booksellers Advisory Council). She joins Ellen Richmond of Children's Book Cellar in Waterville, Maine.

Elyse Marshall has been promoted to director of publicity for the Penguin Young Readers Group; she will continue to report to Shanta Newlin. Marshall joined the company in 2011 as associate director of publicity, and before that was publicity manager at HarperCollins. Authors she works with include Sarah Dessen, Judy Schachner, Jay Asher, and John Green, and in her new position she will take on a greater role in creating and developing new publicity strategies as well as managing the department.

Erica Sussman has been promoted to editorial director at HarperCollins Children's Books; she was previously executive editor. In her new role, Erica will be co-manager with Tara Weikum of their current editorial team. Sussman began her career at HarperCollins in 2004 as an editorial assistant. Authors she has worked with include Kiera Cass, Erin Hunter, Kiersten White, Cynthia Hand, and Robison Wells.

Kari Sutherland has been promoted to senior editor at HarperCollins, from editor. Books she has worked on include Sara Shepard’s Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game, and the forthcoming The Perfectionists series; L.J. Smith's Vampire Diaries; and Kat Zhang's What's Left of Me.

Annette Pollert has joined Sourcebooks Fire as editorial manager. She was previously an editor at Simon Pulse; authors she has worked with include L.J. Smith, Thomas E. Sniegoski, Deb Caletti, Jennifer Echols, and Carrie Arcos.
