EBSCO Publishing this week announced that it has struck an exclusive license with Grey House Publishing to become the publisher of the print editions of Salem Press titles. EBSCO acquired the 60-year-old Salem Press in 2009, and EBSCO officials say they will continue to produce new editions of Salem’s reference content for the public library, academic and high school markets, which includes Magill’s Literary Annual, and the forthcoming Computer Technology Innovators.

Under the deal, Grey House will maintain the publishing schedule of Salem’s reference titles, under a joint imprint, scheduled to launch in February 2013. Effective February 1, 2013, Grey House will fulfill backlist, standing and new orders. All orders and customer service inquiries after February 1, 2013 should be directed to:

Grey House/Salem Press, Two University Plaza Hackensack, NJ 07601, (800) 221‐1592.

Sales will continue to be supported by Salem/Grey House Publishing’s in‐house sales team in Hackensack N.J., as well as supported by all school and library jobbers, and a number of independent sales reps around the country.
