Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins was the bestselling paid book in Apple's iBooks store for the week ended December 9. For the past three weeks, the final installment in Collins's Hunger Games series has taken the top spot, and last week was followed, once again, by Veronica Roth's Divergent.

New to the list last week were The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly, which landed in the #4 spot, and Command Authority at #5, the last Jack Ryan novel written by Tom Clancy, who died in October. In the wake of Nelson Mandela's death on December 5, the former South African president's memoir, Long Walk to Freedom, appeared on the list at #17
