TheWriteDeal, a year-old e-book publisher and distributor started by New York City-based editors and authors, launched its e-Leaf Store for e-content this week. Senior editor Irene Schneider describes e-leafs as “digital missives from writers directly to their readers.” There are no print options.

E-leafs range from serialized excerpts to fuller works in both English and Spanish in a variety of categories, including fantasy, children’s, poetry memoirs, and reportage. Some titles are available for free, while others retail for $7.99 or less. “We are fostering a community of creative writers and readers from all over the globe,” adds Schneider.
