On the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination, Abrams is going to publish The Kennedy Years. The book, which will chronicle JFK's presidency, will feature original reporting and photographs from the archives of The New York Times, along with new essays from Times contributors. At Abrams, David Cashion brokered the deal for the book, which is scheduled for fall 2013, with Alex Ward at the Times. The book is being edited by author Richard Reeves who worked at the paper from 1966-1971.

The Kennedy Years will have over 125 color photos and a wealth of articles that originally appeared as well as new material. Among the reporters with pieces in the book are David Halberstam, Anthony Lewis, and Tom Wicker. Contributing new pieces, among others, are Tomas Maier and Robert Dallek.
