InterMix, the digital-first imprint of Berkley/New American Library, has acquired Tryst, a novel by Alex Rosa developed on Book Country, Penguin Random House’s online writing community.

The novel was acquired by InterMix assistant editor Kristine Swartz and will be published in March 2015.

Tryst is the story of Skyler, a young women who has just ended an abusive relationship, who moves in with her older brother and his playboy roommate. Swartz said the novel is a compelling story about “modern-day relationship issues.”

Rosa credited the acquisition to Book Country and the support she received workshopping the novel on the online community. “I made some wonderful connections with the site’s staff who gave me excellent feedback while supporting my writing as a whole.”
