Despite rumors that Barnes & Noble might be getting out of the e-reader business, when it opens its new store in Indianapolis, Ind., at The Shops at River Crossing on May 22 to replace its existing Clearwater Crossing store, it will have a NOOK Boutique along with an expanded children’s department and educational toys and games. The store will carry over 60,000 books and will hold NOOK Nights on Wednesday evenings and training classes on Saturday mornings.

“We are thrilled to open a new store in The Shops at River Crossing,” says v-p of development David Deason. “Our booksellers are excited to continue to serve the community in our new location.” As part of the grand opening celebration, Barnes & Noble is hosting a preview night on the evening of May 21 with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Indianapolis Public Schools.
