3/20 Wertham Discussion and History with Carol Tilley, Danny Fingeroth and More in New York, NY

Danny Fingeroth and the Soho Museum of Digital Art will be holding a special panel discussion and historical evening about the influential and controversial Dr. Frederic Wertham, psychiatrist and the author of Seduction of the Innocent. Inspired by Professor Carol Tilley's new shocking revelations on Wertham's seminal work and and timed to coincide with the late Dr. Wertham's 118th birthday, this will take place on Wednesday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. The event will include an audiovisual presentation with rare footage, readings from Seduction of the Innocent and a display of comics art specifically singled out and demonized by Wertham. The discussion panel will feature Tilley and comics historian guests Craig Yoe, David Hadju, Sharon Packer and Paul Levitz and will be presented by veteran comics creator and historian Danny Fingeroth. 3/26 Bill Willingham "Fables" Signing and Stumptown Kickoff Party in Portland, OR

Bill Willingham, creator of the Eisner award-winning comics series Fables will be discussing and signing his work at Things From Another World: Portland in Portland, Oregon on March 26, from 5-7 p.m. At 7, it will turn into the Stumptown Comics Fest Kickoff Party, celebrating the upcoming Stumptown Comics Fest, which begins on April 27. Special guests from the Fest will appear and free food and beer will be provided. Both events are free to the public. 3/29 Becky Cloonan "Demo Vol. 2" Discussion and Signing in New York, NY

Eisner-nominated comics creator Becky Cloonan will appear at Midtown Comics Downtown in New York at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29 to discuss and sign her book Demo Vol. 1. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be provided. The downtown location of Midtown Comics is located at 64 Fulton Street, New York, NY.
