3/26 Bill Willingham "Fables" Signing and Stumptown Kickoff Party in Portland, OR
Bill Willingham, creator of the Eisner award-winning comics series Fables will be discussing and signing his work at Things From Another World: Portland in Portland, Oregon on March 26, from 5-7 p.m. At 7, it will turn into the Stumptown Comics Fest Kickoff Party, celebrating the upcoming Stumptown Comics Fest, which begins on April 27. Special guests from the Fest will appear and free food and beer will be provided. Both events are free to the public. Things from Another World: Portland is located at 2916 NE Broadway, Portland, OR.
3/29 Becky Cloonan "Demo Vol. 2" Discussion and Signing in New York, NY
Eisner-nominated comics creator Becky Cloonan will appear at Midtown Comics Downtown in New York at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29 to discuss and sign her book Demo Vol. 1. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be provided. The downtown location of Midtown Comics is located at 64 Fulton Street, New York, NY.
4/02 Jane Esperson & Brad Bell "Husbands" Signing in Los Angeles, CA
On April 2, screenwriter Jane Esperson and comic actor Brad Bell will be signing their new Dark Horse graphic novel Husbands, which they wrote based on their popular comedy series of the same name. Husbands the graphic novel – and the hit webseries – is a comedy about a young gay celebrity couple who drunkenly get married and find themselves accidental gay rights posterboys. Previously published as a digital-only comics series, Dark Horse brought the book to print due to popular demand. Esperson and Bell will appear at Barnes & Noble Bookstore at the Grove Farmers Market in Los Angeles at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2 to sign their new book. The event is free to the public.
