The service for Matthew Shear has been set for Friday, August 30, at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W. 76th St. in New York City. The family will be receiving guests after the service and all day on August 31 at their home at 895 West End Avenue, Apartment 4A. Donations in Shear’s name can be made to American Cancer Society or Literacy Partners.
The publisher of St. Martin’s Press, Shear died earlier this week after a three-year fight with cancer.
