Tor Teen/Starscape has a promotion and a new hire. Alison Fisher has been promoted to editor, from editorial assistant. Zohra Ashpari has joined as assistant to the publisher; she was previously an intern at Hachette Book Group.

Charlesbridge has two promotions and two new hires. Executive v-p Mary Ann Sabia is moving from associate publisher to publisher, with responsibilities for both the Charlesbridge children's and the Imagine adult lists. Yolanda Scott has been named associate publisher, in addition to her current role as editorial director for children's books. Cynthia Ritter joins as marketing, publicity and promotion assistant; she was formerly a production editor at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. Lauren Barrett joins as sub rights associate; she was formerly permissions associate at Pearson Higher Education.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has four promotions. Deirdre Jones has been promoted to editor, from associate editor. Svetlana Keselman has been promoted to subsidiary rights manager, from subsidiary rights associate. Mariana Ramos has been named associate manager in the subsidiary rights department at Random House Children's Books. She was previously sales account manager at Assouline Publishing.

In a reorganization at Viking Children's Books, senior editor Sharyn November's position has been eliminated. She joined the company in 1990 as associate editor for Puffin Books, and also served as editorial director of the Firebird imprint, which launched in 2002. She can be reached here.
