Anthony Parisi has been promoted to marketing manager; he was previously associate marketing manager. Christine Naulty has been promoted to associate marketing manager; she was previously marketing associate.

Daisy Kline has joined Barnes & Noble as v-p of books, a new position, overseeing the adult trade, children's, and bargain merchandising teams. She was most recently v-p of sales at Penguin Young Readers.

Martha Hanson has been promoted to v-p, director of production at Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing; she was previously director of production.

Dominique Cimina has been promoted to v-p, executive director, publicity and corporate communications, at Random House Children's Books; she was formerly director, publicity and corporate communications.

Cayla Rasi joins the digital team at Random House Children's Books as senior marketing manager; she was previously social media communications manager at Deep Focus.

Bess Braswell has joined HarperCollins children's marketing as senior director, reporting to Nellie Kurtzman. She was most recently director of marketing for teen, middle grade, graphix, and audio at Scholastic.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books for Young Readers has several promotions. Ann Dye has been promoted to marketing director, from associate director of marketing. Lynne Polvino has been promoted to senior editor of Clarion Books; she was editor. Christine Kettner has been promoted to creative director of Clarion and HMH Books for Young Readers in the New York office, from art director. Jim Secula has been promoted to associate designer, HMH Books for Young Readers, from design assistant. Lauren Pettapiece has been promoted to designer, from associate designer.

Summer Ogata has been promoted to associate manager of school and library marketing at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group; she was formerly school and library marketing coordinator.

Daniella Valladares is joining Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as assistant editor, brand, licensed, and media tie-in publishing. She was formerly assistant editor at HarperCollins. The James Patterson imprint has two new hires. Alaina Mauro has been named publishing director; she was formerly digital sales account manager for Young Readers at Penguin Random House. Gabrielle Tyson joins as publicity and marketing assistant; she was a publicity intern at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Alia Almeida is joining Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as marketing associate, based in the New York office. Previously she was integrated marketing operations assistant at HarperCollins Children's Books.

Meika Hashimoto has joined the licensed editorial department at Random House Children's Books as associate editor.
