Description
Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Sales Representative to coordinate and generate sales and/or participate in sales-related service activities of assigned accounts for all market segments of Ingram Content Group (ICG). The Sales Representative represents the wholesale and distribution companies of ICG with respect to promotion, sales, and service of its product line to a variety of customers and prospects within a large, defined geographical territory. Working to develop business with key accounts, the Sales Representative will travel to assigned areas and other Industry trade shows and events. Generates revenue and/or profit margin in assigned, key accounts and/or territories and maintains client relationship post-sale.

Essential Duties in this role include:
•Manages all sales to major accounts by contacting established customers and developing new prospects within a specific region of the country on behalf of Ingram and our IPS client publishers
•Under direct supervision generates revenue and/or profit margin among assigned accounts and/or territories
•Represents the wholesale and distribution companies with respect to promotion, sales, and service of its product line to a variety of customers within a large, defined geographical area to include new and backlist title sales, advertising planning and establishing and maintaining customer relations. May have specialized training within a product line.
•Ensures high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers
•Keeps informed on new products and/or services and other general information of interest to customers and client publishers
•Informs customers of supply and price trends, and assists in inventory control
•Provides service and sales support to Ingram Content Group activities including but not limited to wholesale, Print on Demand, and Digital offerings
•Regular travel to assigned areas and other Industry trade shows and events
•Report industry trends, market requirements, customer needs and competitor developments

Minimum Education and Experience required:
•High school diploma or GED
•3 years experience in sales OR the book industry

Preferred Education and Experience desired:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
•Advance knowledge of or previous work experience within the book industry
