We are currently recruiting for a Field Sales Representative to coordinate and generate sales and/or participate in sales-related service activities of assigned accounts for our Great Lakes (MI/western-OH/IN/MO/KS) market segment of Ingram Content Group (ICG). This role will represent the wholesale and distribution companies of ICG with respect to promotion, sales, and service of its product line to a variety of customers and prospects within a large, defined geographical territory. Responsibilities will include developing business with key accounts and will travel to assigned areas and other Industry trade shows and events. Field Sales Representatives will generate revenue and/or profit margins in assigned, key accounts and/or territories and maintains client relationship post-sale. Ideal candidates will reside in the Central/Great Lakes territory.

Essential Duties in this role include:
• Manages all sales to major accounts by contacting established customers and developing new prospects within a specific region of the country on behalf of Ingram and our IPS client publishers
• Under direct supervision generates revenue and/or profit margin among assigned accounts and/or territories
• Represents the wholesale and distribution companies with respect to promotion, sales, and service of its product line to a variety of customers within a large, defined geographical area to include new and backlist title sales, advertising planning and establishing and maintaining customer relations. May have specialized training within a product line.
• Ensures high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers
• Keeps informed on new products and/or services and other general information of interest to customers and client publishers
• Informs customers of supply and price trends, and assists in inventory control
• Provides service and sales support to Ingram Content Group activities including but not limited to wholesale, Print on Demand, and Digital offerings
• Regular travel to assigned areas and other Industry trade shows and events
• Report industry trends, market requirements, customer needs and competitor developments
Minimum Education and Experience required:
• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the book or publishing industry

Preferred Education and Experience desired:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• Advance knowledge of OR previous work experience within the book and/or publishing industry
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
