|This position will manage all aspects of consumer and professional books including cost center management, reporting, creating effective campaigns, evaluation of marketing efforts, achieving sales and margin objectives as set forth in the annual business plan, oversight of all promotional activities for a specific business group, and development and presentation of new products and promotions to retail sales, customer service, national sales force, and key trade accounts. |
Specific responsibilities include:
• Plan, develop, and execute annual business/marketing plan for each product area including Consumer Products and Professional and Academic Books.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Marketing or related field; three years experience in marketing and product management; solid understanding of the book industry; knowledge of the LCMS and/or the Christian market; demonstrated proficiency in database management, social media, product launch, web analytic tools, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), experience conducting primary and secondary market research, and strong MS Office Suite skills.
