Cedco Publishing Names New CEO
Katayoon Zandvakili -- 4/13/98
Cedco Publishing of San Rafael, Calif., has named Rob Burrows its first CEO. Burrows has been a consultant to Cedco's finance department since September 1997, and was formerly COO of a medical software company in Larkspur, Calif. As CEO, Burrows will be responsible for Cedco's daily operations-including overseas licensing, sales and marketing, internal systems and finance -- and will report to Cedco founder Chuck Ditlefsen. Ditlefsen will continue as president, overseeing long-term licensing and overall corporate strategy. For the past year, Ditlefsen has managed all of the financial and management aspects of the company since Paul Kelly left.
Cedco, which was founded in 1983, reported a 168% increase in sales for fiscal 1997 -- growth that has brought about a doubling of its staff in the last two years to more than 125. Cedco publishes calendars, books and stationery products of popular licenses, such as Anne Geddes, Dilbert, Disney and the World Wildlife Fund.
