Marmion Joins HM; Dolan, Pfefferblit Are New Editors

As part of a restructuring of Houghton Mifflin's sales and marketing operations into two departments, Bridget Marmion, formerly v-p, director of sales and marketing at the Random House imprints, has been named corporate v-p and director of marketing for Houghton Mifflin's trade and reference divisions.
Greg Euson will continue as corporate v-p and director of sales, and Clay Harper, formerly director of marketing for adult trade, has been appointed to a new position, executive publishing analyst and strategic planner, and will report directly to executive v-p of trade and reference Wendy Strothman. Marmion will work out of New York, and Euson and Harper will be based in Boston.

Before joining Random House, Marmion was v-p and director of marketing and sales at FSG.

Eamon Dolan, formerly senior editor at HarperCollins, has been named an executive editor in the New York office. Dolan was instrumental in the launch of the HarperEdge imprint and has worked with such authors as Tony Hillerman, H.G. Bissinger and Charles Bukowski.

Elaine Pfefferblit has been named an editor-at-large, working out of the New York office. She spent 15 years at Pocket Books and Poseidon Press and has also worked at Crown. All adult trade editors will report to v-p and editorial director Janet Silver.
