Riger Resigns from Penguin
-- 9/7/98
Robert Riger, who joined the Penguin Group as an executive vice-president and manager of worldwide online sales in April, has left the company. Riger had moved to Penguin after spending about eight years with the consulting firm Market Partners. At Penguin, Riger was to spearhead the company's efforts to maximize the sale of books online across all divisions. He was also charged with extending the Penguin brand name.
Penguin had no comment on Riger's departure and Riger was unavailable to discuss his future plans.
