Adam Bellow, former editorial director at the Free Press, has been named executive editor-at-large at Doubleday.

Announcing Bellow's new spot, William Thomas, Doubleday v-p and editor-in-chief, said Bellow will acquire and edit three to four new books a year and will continue to write a book on nepotism that is scheduled to be published by the house next year.

During his 10 years at the Free Press, Bellow edited nonfiction titles by, among others, Michael Lind, Dinesh D'Souza, David Mamet, Francis Fukuyama and James Q. Wilson.
