iUniverse, ASJA Set Net Imprint
-- 5/1/00

iUniverse.com, a print-on-demand publisher and publishing services Web site, and the American Society of Journalists and Authors have reached an agreement that will create an imprint on the iUniverse.com site to produce and market books from the ASJA membership. ASJA will also produce a series of books on the craft of writing.

The ASJA is the latest writers association to work with iUniverse.com to coordinate submissions from its members for publication. The Writers Digest, the Authors Guild, the Harlem Writers Guild and the Writers Club currently have agreements to direct their own imprints on the iUniverse.com site.

Richard Tam, iUniverse. com CEO, said the agreement "reinforces our commitment to opening new opportunities for authors."

ASJA represents more than 1,000 independent book authors and freelance writers. The ASJA Web site is located at www.asja.org.
