Caroline Kennedy will select and introduce a collection of her mother Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis's favorite poems, including one by the late First Lady herself, in a book just bought by Hyperion publisher Robert Miller. Caroline will write a foreword to the book, which will also include an essay by Onassis on the importance of literature. Miller bought the package, which he plans to publish this October, from Esther Newberg at ICM; he got world rights, plus audio and first serial, and the book will be edited at Hyperion by senior editor Gretchen Young . The collection will feature a wide range of noted poets, including the usual suspects but also some offbeat choices, such as Countee Cullen.
