Candy Lee has joined iFormation Group as managing director of sales and marketing and will be based in the company's New York office. Founded in June 2000 by the Boston Consulting Group, General Atlantic Partners and Goldman Sachs, iFormation carves new businesses out of traditional companies by leveraging a company's legacy assets.

Lee had been president and CEO of Troll Communications since the company was acquired by Willis Stein & Partners in 1999 until February, when she was made vice- chairman and replaced as president and CEO by Richard Willis, who also became chairman (News, Mar. 5). Lee will be in charge of iFormation's marketing and branding activities worldwide. Lee said the opportunities for iFormation are "limitless" and noted that "given my recent involvement in educational publishing, I'll be looking for ways of applying my interests to new business formation and growth in e-learning fields as well."
