Jonathan Harr, whose A Civil Action became an award-winning bestseller for Random as well as a movie, has re-signed with the house for his second book. It is a so-far-untitled story of the obsessive search carried out in England, Ireland and Italy for a painting by Renaissance master Caravaggio that has long been missing. The book was signed by Random president and publisher Ann Godoff with agent Andrew Wylie, for North American rights, and will be edited by executive editor Bob Loomis, who also worked on Harr's previous book. No date has been set for publication, for which Random has both hard and softcover rights.
