Publishers Resources Inc., which has undergone numerous changes since it was launched by Ingram more than a decade ago, is now in a downsizing mode. The company will lay off 67 people by the end of January when the company's largest client, DK Publishing, moves into its own warehouse. The departure of DK, which had been in the works for more than a year, will leave PRI with about six clients for which the company conducts warehousing, fulfillment and collection functions.

The cuts at PRI come one week after Ingram confirmed that it was eliminating approximately 15 positions from its Lightning Source division (News, Dec. 10).
