Rodale continues to ramp up its trade publishing operation, naming Margot Schupf executive editor of its Organic Living Books imprint and promoting Cindy Ratzlaff to associate publisher and director of marketing and communications for trade books.

Schupf, who had been an editor with Clarkson Potter since 1995, will be responsible for publishing 15 to 20 titles each year for the Organic Living Group, which includes OG and Organic Style magazines. Schupf will be based in Rodale's New York office and will report to Nancy Small, senior v-p and managing director of the Organic Living Group. Schupf's appointment comes approximately one month after the company named Jeremy Katz as executive editor for its Men's Health Book imprint (News, Feb. 18).

Ratzlaff will continue to oversee book publicity for the trade group and will also now be in charge of creating marketing campaigns for about 85 titles annually across all of Rodale's content groups. In addition, Ratzlaff will coordinate Rodale's synergy opportunities for books across all of the company's magazines, Web sites and other electronic media outlets.
