As General Publishing Co. works to restructure its operations, a list of suitors has lined up expressing interest in purchasing some of General's assets, including creditors Key Porter Books and Douglas & McIntyre, as well as H.B. Fenn and Raincoast Books.

"We are interested in Stoddart and Anansi," said Anna Porter, of Key Porter Books. "There have been many positive inquiries about investment in each part of the business and these inquiries are being pursued," David Murray, General Publishing's chief restructuring officer said in a statement.

Meanwhile, as part of General's restructuring process, the company laid off 23 employees throughout its various divisions, more than 10% of its workforce.
